Sub Title: Drake Entertains at The Westin Harbour
My idea comes in consideration to the upcoming Christmas season. It is a fundraising event meant to capture a broad audience from school-aged children to adults. The campaign will focus on contributions made for the hospital for sick children in Toronto. A sensitive topic geared to attract the kindness of giving during the holiday season. The event will take place during the most memorable time of year with the guest being one of the most popular music talents of the twenty-first century.
Being from Toronto, Aubrey Drake Graham will sing to a sold-out hotel audience where all proceeds of the night will be given to aid in the enhanced services of The Sick Children's Hospital.
My idea has 2 main prospects:
  1. To promote a good cause
  2. To advertise the hotel
It will attract an audience because the time for giving is Christmas, the sensitivity of children in need is of vital importance to any community and the fact that he is a native Torontonian is what tops the cake. Drake, aka Aubrey Drake Graham, has taken on the responsibility to promote Toronto any chance he gets and doesn’t take it lightly.
“Who can blame him? He is a homegrown Toronto boy who will do just about anything to show-off “The 6” in the positive light. Drake is genuine about his love for Toronto. He didn’t have to do any of it. But he did, and now the city has its very own superstar rapper. Thank you, Drake”.
The advantages effects on product sales when it comes to endorsements are enormous. The Westin Harbour ‘s campaign focuses on attracting a vast audience not only providing entertainment, but also supporting a good cause. It is of value to mention, many locals will view the hotel in return, providing a hands-on experience of the facilities and staff. The power behind the brand is the celebrity, but the campaign is advertising the Westin at the same time.
